Raymond Glenn Daughtry, 63, passed away on Saturday, May 14th.

Raymond, affectionately known as “Glenn” was born in Wayne County on January 19, 1959, to the late Rev. Elbert Glenn Daughtry and Shelba Jean Sutton Daughtry. He was a loving and caring man who made friends with everyone he encountered in life. Glenn was a simple man who enjoyed the life he lived alongside those he loved. The opportunity to go fishing or play his guitar always brought great joy to Glenn.

A graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park on Wednesday, May 18th at 2:00pm with Rev. William Wallace officiating. The family will be accepting visitors at the home of his sister Jackie directly after the service.

He is survived by wife, Betty Lee Daughtry, Daughter, Ashley Nicole Daughtry, Granddaughter Rosa Marie Cabrera, and adopted son Justin Keith Daw. He also leaves behind his two sisters, Jeanie Gardner and husband, Joe and Jacqueline Jones and husband, Jimmy. Two God Children, Jason Kirby and Beth Owens. Along with others he adopted as close family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline Elizabeth, and life-long friend, Angela Green, who he loved dearly.
