(GDN) – On April 8, 2022, local business owners and city officials gathered on Center Street in Goldsboro. The men and women dressed in purple attire for a photo in front of the dandelion mural to celebrate the Month of the Military Child.

Held in April each year, “Purple Up! For Military Kids” is a day for communities to wear purple to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices.
