No. 3 Southern Wayne played had for the entire game in against No. 14 Williams.
Unfortunately, the Saint’s strong effort was not enough, and Williams toppled the Saints 50-48 in the second round of the NCHSAA playoffs.
Southern Wayne will end its historic season with 23-1 overall record. The Saints also won the Quad County 3A Conference title.
The Saints are losing Laci Capri, Nerckka Maxi, Demia Mickens, Sara Lopez, Jamaya Leach, Angela Jones and Diamond McClarin to graduation.
However, with so much talent coming back, the Saints are in prime position for another great season.
