(GDN) — As part of the storm system working through North Carolina today, a Flood Watch has been issued for Wayne County and the surrounding area until 10 AM this morning.  The National Weather Service says excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.  Also, flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.  A Wind Advisory is also in effect until 4 PM today as northerly winds could produce gusts of up to 45 mph.
