Strong thunderstorms crossed Wayne County Saturday evening.  The storms set off a tornado earning for parts of Wayne County.  Seymour Johnson Air Force Base reported spotting a funnel cloud around 7 PM.  There were also reports of penny-sized hail in an area southeast of Pikeville.
