Boys Basketball: C.B. Aycock Defeats Goldsboro For First Time Since 2016 (PHOTO GALLERY)

J.D. Dunn scored a game-high 22 points and C.B. Aycock toppled Goldsboro 58-52. It marks the Golden Falcons’ first win over the Cougars since 2016.

Kam Prince scored nine of his 12 points in the first quarter, and C.B. Aycock held a 15-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.

At halftime, the Golden Falcons had a 31-27 advantage. Throughout the second half, the Cougars would trim the Golden Falcons’ lead down to five points, but C.B. Aycock never wavered and hit every big shot to defeat the Cougars 58-52.

Kris Reid scored 13 points to help the Golden Falcons. Takorrie Faison scored a team-high 20 points for the Cougars, while Justice Wooten contributed seven points.

Goldsboro travels to Southern Wayne on Monday. C.B. Aycock entertains Rosewood on Tuesday.
