Wilson Lee Norris, 134 Pinkney Court passed Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 Hwy 70 West, Goldsboro. Pastor Lynn Epps and Pastor James Coley will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the residence Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey C. Norris (Tammy) of Bailey, and Daniel W. Norris of Goldsboro; daughters, Nancy L. Norris of Spring Lake and Tonya Whitefield of Fremont; son-in-law, Ben Whitefield of Fremont; sisters, Gail Norris (Stewart) of Elizabethtown, Penny N. Council of Hope Mills and Bonnie Trask (Val) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela N. Whitefield.

Mr. Norris was a charter member of Rosewood Worship Center, where he served as an Elder.

Mr. Norris was with the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community Development, Forest Service from 1958 – 1996. He served his country in Battalion C 130th AAA BN- (AW)(SP) of the North Carolina National Guard.
