Fremont Christmas Parade Set For Dec. 4

The annual Fremont Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 1:00 pm. If you are interested in entering the parade, please call Fremont Pharmacy at 919-242-4573. Parade entries are due no later than Tuesday, November 30th.

This year’s parade is being dedicated in loving memory of Keith Stewart, who organized and directed the parade for over 40 years. Serving as Grand Marshals for this year’s parade will be The Keith Stewart Family.

The parade entry fee is $25.00 for all businesses. Checks should be made payable to “Troop 12 Boy Scouts” and payment is due by November 30th. Payments can be mailed to PO Box 147, Fremont, NC 27830 or dropped off at Fremont Pharmacy. All other entries are free.

Parade Line up starts at 11:00 and begins at North Vance Street by the cemetery. Members of Troop 12 will be there to direct you to your spot. All Fire Trucks will be lined up on South Vance Street to turn left onto Main Street. The parade will travel from Vance Street and turn right onto Main Street, turn left on Goldsboro Street, turn left onto Alumni Lane, left on Vance Street, right on South Street, and then left on Dock Street to head back to the cemetery.

Please come and join us on Saturday, December 4th as the town celebrates the Christmas season in Fremont.

Also, the Town of Fremont will be hosting their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Service on Friday, December 3rd. It will begin at 6:00 pm and feature various entertainment. Santa will also be making a stop in Fremont that night. The town Christmas Tree is located by the Railroad Tracks on Goldsboro Street, about half a block down from Main Street.
