October 23, 2021, 61, Pikeville –

William Hardy Wade Jr., 61, better known as “Billy” passed away suddenly Saturday morning, October 23, 2021 at his home in Pikeville.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Billy was born in Wayne County on April 1, 1960 to the late William Hardy Wade Sr. and Lila Gray Butts Wade.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and National Guard.

He is survived by his loving sister, Sybil Wade Stancil and her husband, Robbie of Kenly; two nieces, Kimberley C. Whitted and Krystal C. Sykes; one nephew, Keffer W. Casey; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; one great-great nephew; his aunt, Dorothy Wade and several cousins.  Billy is also survived by two special friends, Richard Bedard and Leroy Murchison.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
