Hannah Best picked up the lone singles point during Wayne Country Day’s 8-1 loss to Cape Fear Christian Academy on Thursday afternoon.
Best dropped the first 3-6 and was winning the second set 2-0 before her opponent retired.
The Chargers will travel to Rocky Mount to face Faith Christian today at 4 p.m.
