Late Friday afternoon, firefighters from Seven Springs and EMS Stations 1 and 9 were dispatched to a two vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and SUV near the intersection of NC 111 South and Pineview Cemetery. The female bike operator was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after her motorcycle collided with an SUV that was attempting to turn left into a driveway. The motorcyclist was thrown over the hood of the SUV. The roadway was completely blocked by the wreckage and was closed to traffic. The accident is being investigated by the State Highway Patrol. At the time of the crash, the SUV was apparently heading east toward NC 111 South and the motorcycle was heading west on Pineview Cemetery Road.
