GPD, SJAFB Carry Torch For Special Olympics (PHOTO GALLERY)

Goldsboro Police run to support the Special Olympics of North Carolina.  Wednesday morning, GPD officers met at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base to carry the Special Olympics Torch.  The officers were joined by local leaders, including Goldsboro City Manager Tim Salmon, as well as Seymour Johnson’s 4th Security Forces Squadron.  They carried the Special Olympics Torch on a sprint up Berkeley Boulevard to Lowe’s with police, EMS and others escorting the parade.  All along the route, the public cheered the Special Olympics effort.
