It may have been strictly online, but this year’s Wayne County Career Fair was still a smashing success.
According to the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, nearly 2,900 students attended Tuesday’s virtual Career Fair, with 6,600 visits to the 90 employers that participated in the event.
The student attendees included all 8th grade and 9-12 graders enrolled in a Career Technical Education class from both public and private schools in Wayne County.
Curtis Media Group Goldsboro was one of the local businesses sharing its workplace experience with the students.
The Career Fair is put together annually by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce’s Wayne Education Network.
