Bertha Newcomb Holmes, age 86, passed away Tuesday at her home. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Ruffie and Gladys Williams Newcomb and the wife of the late Delmas W. Holmes. She was retired from Howell’s Child Care Center.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10:00 am in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Gerald Fowler officiating.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William “Ray” & Debbie Holmes; her daughter and son-in-law, Frances Yvonne and Jerry Lee; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Clara Newcomb; her sister, Alice Myers; her grandson and his wife, Daniel Ray and Margaret Miller Holmes.
