Forecasters are keeping a close eye on the Neuse River.  As of Thursday morning, the Neuse River near Goldsboro was close to 16-feet.  Minor Flood Stage begins at 18-feet.  The latest forecast shows the Neuse River slowly dropping over the next few days.  However, with a continued chance for rain and storms into the weekend, there is the possibility the local river may still approach flood stage in the coming days.
