William Clayton Newcomb, Sr., 66. Of Fremont passed away at Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Thursday, July 16, 2020. He was born on September 25, 1953 in Wilson County to the late James Milford Newcomb Sr. and Betty Mae Little Newcomb. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Newcomb, sisters Del Hinnant, Ann Kenward, Wanda Newcomb, and Donna Tripp and a grandson, Shelby Ray Pate.

Upon Mr. Newcomb’s request there will be no formal services held. The family will be receiving friends and family at the home of his daughter, Tracy on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 137 Rowe St., Goldsboro, NC 27530.

Mr. Newcomb is survived by his wife, Margaret H. Newcomb of Fremont; son, William “Bill” Newcomb, Jr. of Princeton; daughter, Tracy Newcomb Pelletier of Goldsboro; brother, John Newcomb of Williamston; sisters, Bonny Shimada of Ormondsville, Jean Tripp of Ormondsville, Caroline Vanderstokker of Goldsboro and a grandson, John Lee “Jake” Pelletier.
