Carol Joyner Weeks, Mount Olive area resident, passed away Tuesday morning, June 16, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. She was 70.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson. Presiding will be Fred West and Skippy Jackson. The family will greet friends at the cemetery after the service.
Carol was retired from Carolina Power and Light Company where she had been an administrative assistant and public relations manager. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and also a member of Faison Lions Club. She was a past district governor with the Lions Club, was a member of Southeastern NCAACA and the Antique Auto Club of America.
Survivors include her husband, Carlton Weeks, of the home; three sons and wives, Jay and Johnna Hill of Coats, Scott and Misty Weeks of the state of Washington, and Chad and Danielle Weeks of Raleigh; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William Marvin Joyner and Margaret Jones Joyner; and her prized Yorkie companion, “Lily.”
