Edith Sharlene Schaff, 54, peacefully passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wake County on December 1, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Robert Rimmer Ullery and Gladys Cornelia Dean Ullery.

Edith was a “Granny” to all. She was everyone’s safe space. You could stop being tough when you were with her. She spent her life looking to love and be loved. I believe she did just that. – Bird

The family will conduct a service in a private setting.

Edith is survived by her husband, Donald Schaff; daughters, Chrissy Cooper and Ashely Cooper; step-children, Lisa Richardson and Joseph Schaff; grandchildren, Haley Auch, Jacob McMillan, Dylan Melton, Jaden Smith, Mason Smith, Layla Smith, and Alhanna Holt; step-grandchildren, Sophie Schaff, Miller Schaff, and Ellie Richardson; great-grandson, Joseph Auch; and sisters, Bobbie McConnell and Arlene Ullery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Cindy Ullery and Diane Holiday.
