Officers from the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert near the 1900 building of Day Circle around 3:30 AM Friday. Upon their arrival, officers located a shooting victim, identified as 30-year-old Darryl Dunn, Jr. Dunn was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care and was later transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he is in critical condition. The GPD’s Criminal Investigations Division responded along with the Crime Scene Unit. The case remains under investigation.
