County Approves Incentives For Atlantic Casualty Project

Wayne County approves economic incentives for a project that’s expected to bring over 80 jobs to the local area.

The $11.8 million Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company project in Goldsboro includes building a new 30,000 square foot facility.

Greg Ricker, the Executive Vice President of Operations for Atlantic Casualty Insurance, talked about the project at the March 17th Wayne County Board meeting.

He says the company is growing and has already expanded several other locations.

Wayne County Development Alliance President Mark Pope says the county also received over $1 million to construct a second road to serve the Park East Industrial Park area where the new Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company facility will be located.

The county will provide $450,000 in economic development incentives to the company over a ten year period.

The incentives hinge on Atlantic Casualty creating 83 local jobs by the end of 2025.

The City of Goldsboro also approved similar incentives for the Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company expansion project last month.
