How do you keep your cell phone and other electronic devices clean and properly sanitized? It’s a common question in the midst of the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
Brent VanGilder is the area sales manager for U.S. Cellular in Goldsboro. He offers tips for cleaning your cellphone or tablet:
- Use a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox disinfecting wipe
- Do not use bleach
- Gently wipe the nonporous surfaces (display, keyboard)
- Avoid getting moisture in any opening
- Do not submerge your device in any cleaning agent
It’s also recommended that you do not share your device with anyone else. These steps can be used, not just now, but year-round to keep your cell phone clean.
VanGilder also suggests checking online with your device manufacturer (Apple, Samsung, Google, etc.) to find cleaning tips for your exact device.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, the public is increasingly urged to be avoid infection and/or spreading germs by not touching unsanitary surfaces.
