GOLDSBORO, N.C. — NC Freedom Fest is back and bigger than ever! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6, 2025, when Downtown Goldsboro transforms into a vibrant hub of patriotism, entertainment, and community spirit. This free, family-friendly event celebrates and honors our military personnel, veterans, and first responders in a day filled with gratitude, fun, and fantastic music.
Event Schedule
Street Fair: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
The festivities kick off at 12:00 PM with an expanded street fair running until 5:00 PM. This year’s street fair offers even more time to explore:
- Wide variety of local vendors
- Impressive car and bike show
- Free activities for all ages
It’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon with family and friends, surrounded by a community that proudly supports those who serve.
Main Event at Freedom Field: 5:00 PM
Starting at 5:00 PM, the energy shifts to Freedom Field for the main event, a powerful evening of appreciation and entertainment. The program begins with:
- Military awards ceremony
- Inspiring art contest
- F-15 flyover (crowd favorite and thrilling tribute to service members)
Musical Lineup
Taking the stage for the evening concert:
- Eli Winders – Rising country star and Wayne County native (opening act)
- Ashley Cooke – Award-winning country artist headlining with a show-stopping performance
With fresh new talent and high-energy performances, this year’s concert promises to be the most memorable yet.
Community Participation
Everyone is encouraged to wear RED – Remember Everyone Deployed – as a symbol of unity and gratitude for the sacrifices made by our military families.
