GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 40-year-old Goldsboro man has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a child following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators began looking into allegations involving Francisco Luna and a female juvenile on July 9, 2026.
During the investigation, authorities learned that the juvenile had disclosed to a family member allegations of inappropriate contact involving Luna.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the allegations and determined there was sufficient probable cause to charge Luna.
Luna, 40, of Hannah Way in Goldsboro, was charged with one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child.
He was placed under a $100,000 secured bond.
The Sheriff’s Office did not release additional details about the alleged incident or the relationship between Luna and the juvenile.
The charge is an allegation, and Luna is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
