WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — The Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF), an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation, has awarded a $2,390 grant to United Way of Wayne County to help local individuals and families facing financial and personal challenges.
The funding will support United Way’s U-CAN (United Community Assistance Network) Program, which connects residents with essential resources and referrals to help them navigate difficult circumstances.
The program assists individuals and families experiencing economic hardships or personal challenges by connecting them with available community services and support.
“This grant will help connect Wayne County residents facing personal or financial challenges with the resources and support they need,” said Robert B. Logan, advisory board president of the Wayne County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support United Way of Wayne County and its work to strengthen our community.”
The grant is part of WCCF’s 2026 community grantmaking efforts, funded through the foundation’s endowment.
Each year, the foundation’s advisory board distributes grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofit agencies, schools, churches and local governments. These investments are designed to address community needs and improve the quality of life for Wayne County residents.
The Wayne County Community Foundation continues to support local initiatives through charitable giving and partnerships that benefit the community.
