GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Downtown Goldsboro is getting into the Halloween spirit with an afternoon of family-friendly fun, costumes, candy, and even a little spooky fun for four-legged friends!
The annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat celebration will take place on Saturday, October 24, offering families a free opportunity to celebrate Halloween while exploring downtown businesses.
The festivities kick off at 3 p.m. at The HUB with a Pet Halloween Costume Contest. Pet owners are encouraged to dress their furry companions in their most creative, spooky, or adorable Halloween costumes and join in the fun.
Food trucks will also be on-site, offering a variety of food available for purchase as families and friends gather to enjoy the afternoon.
From 4 to 6 p.m., downtown merchants will welcome costumed children and families for trick-or-treating, handing out candy throughout the downtown district.
Whether dressed as a superhero, princess, ghost, or favorite Halloween character, trick-or-treaters are encouraged to bring their candy bags and enjoy a safe, festive afternoon in the heart of Goldsboro.
Admission, trick-or-treating, and participation in the Pet Halloween Costume Contest are all free. Food truck purchases are additional.
The event offers a chance for the community to celebrate Halloween, support local downtown businesses, and create lasting memories with family, friends, and pets.
