September 22, 2026, 87, Goldsboro – Donnie Ray Wall peacefully traded the cares of this earthly life for the joys of his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, surrounded by the love and prayers of his devoted family.
A faithful servant of the Lord, Donnie lived his life with his heart turned toward Heaven. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, his family finds comfort in knowing that he has simply gone on before them, leaving this world behind to enter the presence of the Savior he loved and served. His life was a testimony of faith, and today his loved ones rejoice in the promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord.
Among those left to cherish Donnie’s precious memory is his devoted wife, Rose Wall, who lovingly and faithfully walked beside him through the seasons of life for 59 years – never leaving his side.
He is also survived by his three children, Greg Wall and wife Melissa, Kevin Wall and wife Amber, Sharon Wall Quinn and husband Joey; eight grandchildren: Anna Wall Palmer and husband Brandon, Allie Wall and fiancé Shane Nash, Kari Wall Fugh and husband Grant, Josh Wall and wife Reagan, Morgan Quinn, Parker Quinn, Jazilyn, Eli, Christina Snow and husband Derek, Ashley Snipes and husband Doug; and great-grandchildren Savara Nielsen, Skyler Snow, and Bryson Snow. He is also survived by his brother, Barry Wall, and his wife, Joan, along with many nieces and nephews. Too many friends to mention.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, William Kermit Wall and Madie Barnes Wall, and three brothers, Jack Wall, Kermit Hugh Wall, and Bobby Lee Wall.
Donnie loved his family deeply and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing softball. He was a charter member and ordained minister of United in Christ Church. He also faithfully taught Sunday school for more than 30 years. Donnie loved to fish, but more importantly, he was also a fisher of men. He shared his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with everyone he met. He was a devoted disciple who will never be forgotten.
A homegoing service celebrating Donnie’s life, faith, and eternal victory will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at United in Christ Church, located at 1314 Patetown Road, Goldsboro, 27530, where he was a faithful member. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 PM until 12:50 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Wayne Memorial Park.
