September 17, 2026, 75, – Junior Lee Wallace, born July 3, 1951, passed away on September 17, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a lifetime of memories filled with music, laughter, and love.
He was the proud father of three children, McKayla Wallace Alves, Steven Wallace and Jeremy Wallace, and the loving grandfather of Abbott Alves, Alaina Alves, Anna Alves, Allison Alves and Gabriel Lee Wallace.
Family was an important part of Junior’s life, and some of the sweetest memories he leaves behind are those made through music. He loved to sing and play music with his family, filling countless moments with songs that will now carry an even deeper meaning for those who loved him.
Perhaps one of his greatest gifts was his ability to make people laugh. He brought humor and joy to those around him and continued making his family laugh right up until the very end. That laughter, along with the stories, songs, and memories he leaves behind, will be treasured for years to come.
Junior was preceded in death by his father, Arthur L. Wallace, and his brothers, David Wallace and Marty Wallace.
He is survived by his mother, Adele Wallace; three children, McKayla Wallace Alves, Steven Wallace and Jeremy Wallace; his five grandchildren, Abbott Alves, Alaina Alves, Anna Alves, Allison Alves and Gabriel Lee Wallace; his brother, Ronnie Wallace and his sisters, Brenda Schulthesis and Theresa Wallace Myers, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
While his family grieves, they are grateful for the years they were given with him and for the pieces of him that will live on through his children, his grandchildren, the music they shared, and the laughter he brought into their lives.
Above all, his family is grateful for Junior’s faith in Jesus and the assurance and hope that faith brings, especially in a time of such great loss. It is their prayer that the life he lived and the faith he carried will continue to inspire those who knew him and encourage others to know the same hope found in Jesus.
The family will gather for a time of visitation on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
