MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Town of Mount Olive is alerting motorists to a temporary road closure on Main Street beginning Wednesday, Sept. 16, as crews work to replace a water line.
Main Street will be closed to all traffic between Center Street and Church Street beginning Wednesday, Sept. 16. The closure is expected to remain in effect through 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18.
According to the town, the temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to complete a water line replacement project.
Motorists traveling through the area should plan for the closure and use alternate routes until the work is completed and Main Street reopens.
The Town of Mount Olive issued the public notification Wednesday to make residents and motorists aware of the closure.
