GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Wayne County residents will have an opportunity to “Share Your Voice” and help shape the future of aging services across North Carolina during an upcoming public listening session in Goldsboro.
The North Carolina Division of Aging and the North Carolina Association of Area Agencies on Aging are hosting listening sessions across the state as part of the development of North Carolina’s 2027-2031 State Aging Plan. Organizers are seeking input from older adults, adults with disabilities, caregivers and other community members.
The Wayne County State Aging Plan Listening Session will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. at Wayne County Services on Aging, 2001 E. Ash Street in Goldsboro. The event is open to the public, although registration is encouraged.
Feedback gathered during the session will be used to identify community needs, priorities and opportunities for improving programs and services across North Carolina.
Those attending will be invited to share their thoughts and personal experiences. Public comments will be limited to three minutes. Individuals who are unable to attend may also provide written comments.
Accessibility and accommodations are available upon request, including ASL interpretation, CART captioning and accessible seating.
