The Goldsboro Fire Department continues its long tradition of support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association this weekend.
From 8 AM – 6 PM today, Saturday and Sunday, Goldsboro firefighters will be stationed at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store on Berkeley Boulevard asking patrons and passersby to “Fill the Boot.”
The funds donated during the GFD’s “Fill the Boot” effort will help meet the urgent need for MDA’s Frontline COVID-19 Emergency Fund to continue services for local families living with neuromuscular diseases.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Goldsboro firefighters will use appropriate protective gear and will practice social distancing as they ask for “Fill the Boot” donations this weekend.
