July 31, 2026, 90, Fremont – Edna Earl Yelverton Braswell. 90, of Fremont went to her heavenly home Friday evening, July 31, 2026 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The family will receive friends following the service.
She was born in Wayne County on March 2, 1936 to the late Bob and Virginia Yelverton. She was a faithful lifetime member of Aycock Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Albert Harold Braswell and wife, Phyllis of Florida and Jimmy Braswell of Fremont; one daughter, Teresa Lancaster of Florida; four grandchildren, Andrea (Chris) Gail, Chris Mooring, Courtney Lancaster and Tyler Lancaster; her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Betsy Yelverton; her brother-in-law, Sid Dupuy and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Carl Yelverton, Jerry Yelverton and Al Hardy Yelverton and one sister, Donna Dupuy.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
