July 26, 2026, 92, Mount Olive – Helen Ward Greenfield, 92, of Mt. Olive, went to be with her Lord on Sunday morning, July 26, 2026 at home.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Oak Forest Church of Christ in Goldsboro. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Greenfield was born in Duplin County on January 22, 1934 to the late Raymond and Bashia Jacobs Ward. She was a faithful member of Oak Forest Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, Benjamin Murry Greenfield Jr. and wife, Denise; one daughter, Sherry G. Mack; two grandchildren, Alexzandra H. Mack and Deacon Murry Greenfield; sister-in-law, Ruebenna Flack and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Murry Greenfield and her brother, Milton Ward.
At her request, memorial contributions may be directed to Oak Forest Church of Christ Building Fund.
