July 21, 2026, 43, La Grange – Ruth Elizabeth Thompson, born on November 8, 1982, in Wayne County, NC, unexpectedly entered into rest on July 21, 2026, at her residence. She was the beloved mother of Hailey West Dawson and Jayden West.
Beth was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love. Beth’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her for the way she carried on with life through the good and the bad, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Beth is survived by her daughter, Hailey West Dawson and husband Colby; her son, Jayden West; her parents, Ruth Jenkins Thompson and Billy Britt Thompson; her two brothers, William Thompson and wife Kristin and Waylon Thompson; a grandson, Greyson Childs; her nephews, Jordan Thompson, Colby Thompson, and River Thompson; her nieces, Franchesca Boyce and Ava Watson; her great nephews, William and Carlye; and her great nieces, Kehlani and Isabella.
Those who knew Beth will remember her for her infectious smile and rare gift for leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.
The Celebration of Life service to honor Beth’s life will be held on at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Fairview Cemetery. The Pastor Ruffin Hill will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at 254 Beston Road, LaGrange, NC 28551.
Although Beth’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love in all that we do.
