June 2, 2026, 89, Fremont – Eva Mae Talton Price, 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Kitty Askins Hospcie Center in Goldsboro. Born in Wilson County on January 17, 1937, she was daughter to the late Luby Talton and Della Mae Jones Talton.
Eva was a woman who found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved spending time outdoors and took great pride in working in her yard, where her care and hard work could be seen in every flower, plant, and corner of her home. Whether tending to her flowers or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, she found peace and happiness in the outdoors.
She was a faithful member of Lucama Church of God, where her faith was an important part of her life. Eva will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, her love for nature, and the kindness she showed to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Eva cherished her family above all else. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren, creating lasting memories through her love, laughter, and devotion. Her family was the center of her life, and the time she shared with her grandchildren brought her immense happiness.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Tammy Skeens; her grandchildren, Shawn Perry and wife, Amanda, and Franklin Skeens and wife, Alexis; and her great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Landan, Ashlyn, Oaklyn and Brantley.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin Pete Price; her son, Ricky Price; her sister, Shirley Sprill; and her brother, Gerald Talton.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to honor Eva’s life will be held in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor David Taylor officiating. Interment will conclude in the Penny Ferrell Family Cemetery.
