MOUNT OLIVE , NC – The Town of Mount Olive has announced a temporary road closure beginning Wednesday morning as crews work to replace sewer services in part of town.
According to town officials, the closure will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, and remain in effect until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21.
The affected area includes Nelson Street between Oliver Street and Elmore Street.
Officials said the temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to complete sewer service replacement work safely and efficiently.
Residents who live within the impacted area will still be allowed access to their properties throughout the construction process.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution near the work zone and seek alternate routes when possible during the closure period.
