MOUNT OLIVE — The Town of Mount Olive has announced a temporary road closure on a portion of West James Street beginning Thursday, May 14, as crews work to replace sewer infrastructure in the area.
According to town officials, West James Street from Martin Street to Wooten Street will be closed from 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, through 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to replace sewer lines, sewer services, and a manhole as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Officials said residents who live within the affected area will continue to have access to their properties during the construction process.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
