May 11, 2026, 80, Grantham – Connie Minnish, age 80, passed away in the late evening hours of Monday, May 11, 2026, at the home of her daughter in the Grantham Community. Connie was born on July 8, 1945, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Conrad and Pauline Bauer.
A graveside service to celebrate Connie’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Dave Fishman officiating and at other times, will be at the home of her daughter, Angela Lancaster, 998 Falling Creek Church Road.
Connie left Lincoln when she married the love of her life, Don, on July 11, 1964. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 11, 2014, but sadly Don passed away in January of that year. Connie was a devoted wife and she and Don moved about the United States as Don completed his Air Force career. They made their permanent home in Goldsboro after he retired from the Air Force in 1981.
Connie was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was so important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don and her sister, Paula Thrash.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Lancaster and her husband, Jay and their children, Heather Williams and her husband, Jared and Trent Lancaster. She is also survived by her sister’s children, whom she loved and thought of as grandchildren, Andrea Kenzierski and her husband, Dave, their children, Myles and Austin, Kaitlin Duong and her husband, Linden, their children, Maverick, Alden, and Aislin, Brandon Thrash and his wife, Sarah and their, daughter, Layla.
The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to her caregiver, Betty Dove as well as the staff of 3HC for their support and care.
Connie is also survived by her son, Jeffrey Minnish and family.
