GOLDSBORO, NC – Multiple agencies responded to a serious multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon near the intersection of U.S. 70 and North Oak Forest Road in Goldsboro.
According to officials, first responders were notified of the crash at approximately 12:47 p.m. on May 9. Several vehicles were involved in the collision, including an 18-wheeler.
Authorities said a total of 11 patients were treated or transported following the crash. Two individuals were airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center for treatment.
At this time, there have been no updates released regarding the conditions of those injured.
The crash remains under investigation, and additional information is expected to be released later.
Agencies responding to the scene included the Goldsboro Police Department, Goldsboro Fire Department, Elroy Fire Department, Wayne County EMS, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
