April 29, 2026, 52, Wilson – Scottie Wayne Pittman, 52, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at UNC Chapel Hill. Born in Wilson County on June 27, 1973, he was son to the late William Clifton Pittman and Mary Adams Pittman.
Scottie is survived by his loving wife, Heather Pittman; his sisters, Susan Robertson and husband, Darryl, and Anita Lamm and husband, Charlie; his brother, Bruce Pittman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Scottie was preceded in death by his niece, Crissy Strickland and his beloved dog, Hercules.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to honor Scottie’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Steven Walker officiating. Interment will conclude at the Kenly Cemetery.
The family is in the care of Kenly Funeral and Cremation Service.
