GOLDSBORO, N.C. — First Presbyterian Church of Goldsboro is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, to help meet ongoing blood supply needs.
The blood drive will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the church’s Activity Center, located at 1101 E. Ash St. in Goldsboro.
Organizers say all blood types are needed, and there will also be opportunities for donors to participate in “Power Red” donations, which collect red blood cells only and can help patients who require specialized transfusions.
Community members interested in donating can schedule an appointment by visiting the Red Cross Blood Services website at redcrossblood.org and entering “First Pres,” calling 1-800-REDCROSS, or stopping by the church’s Welcome Center during regular business hours.
As an added incentive, donors who participate in the May 5 drive will receive a $20 Amazon eGift card.
First Presbyterian Church of Goldsboro, which has served the community since 1855, describes itself as a welcoming and inclusive congregation committed to providing worship, service opportunities, and community outreach.
Organizers encourage residents to consider donating, noting that a single blood donation can help save multiple lives.
