WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Several local government offices and facilities across Wayne County will adjust schedules in observance of Good Friday on Friday, April 3.
The City of Goldsboro announced that all city offices will be closed Friday. Due to the holiday, Friday solid waste routes will be serviced earlier in the week on Wednesday, April 1. City offices will reopen for normal business hours on Monday.
The Town of Mount Olive will also be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of the holiday.
Additionally, Wayne County Government offices will be closed Friday, April 3, and will reopen Monday, April 6, for normal business hours.
Several county services and facilities will also observe schedule changes:
- All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will be closed Friday and Saturday, reopening Monday for normal hours.
- The Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center will be closed Friday and Saturday, reopening Monday.
- The Wayne County Landfill and convenience centers will be closed Friday but reopen Saturday for normal business hours.
- The Wayne County Animal Shelter will be closed Friday and reopen Saturday for normal operations.
Officials remind residents that regular schedules for government services and facilities will resume Monday, April 6.
