Goldsboro — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Goldsboro man following a sexual assault investigation involving a juvenile victim that led to the discovery of additional alleged offenses.
According to officials, the investigation began in January 2026 after reports that a female juvenile had been sexually assaulted by the suspect. During the course of the investigation, detectives identified an additional adult victim who reported being sexually assaulted by the same individual when they were a juvenile.
Investigators determined the second victim had allegedly been subjected to multiple sexual assaults by the suspect over an extended period of time.
As a result of the investigation, authorities arrested Odell Ray Morris, 67, of Gurley Avenue in Goldsboro.
Morris has been charged with the following offenses:
- Felony — Sex Offense by Parental Role (3 counts)
- Felony — First Degree Sexual Offense (3 counts)
- Felony — Statutory Sex Offense with a Child by Adult (3 counts)
Authorities said Morris received a total secured bond of $2,200,000.
