GOLDSBORO, N.C.— It’s time to tee up and enjoy a day at Walnut Creek Country Club and a round of golf on the greens. The Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament benefiting United Way of Wayne County will be held on May 15th. The Tournament is a SuperBall format and includes breakfast at 7:00 am and lunch served at noon. There are two tee times this year, so players can take to the course for an 8:00 am and a 1:00 pm shotgun start. Golfers can play to win in the Putt for Dough Contest as well as two non-Hole in One on-course challenges: the Closest to the Pin and the Longest Drive; plus two Hole-in-One prizes courtesy of Mallory Dumond, Travel Agent with Travelmation and Goldsboro Builders Supply! Golfers can also enter a raffle to win a cash prize. Prizes will be offered to winning teams in two divisions – net & gross scores.
This is the twenty-seventh year that the community has come out to support United Way of Wayne County’s efforts to change lives while relaxing in a semi-competitive environment. Revenues generated benefit local programming and projects. United Way of Wayne County believes that together we can improve lives here in our community, and by investing to impact people’s futures, we can change lives for generations and build a strong community for all of us.
The Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament is a great way to entertain a customer, reward staff for a job well done, or just get out of the office with key staff or friends while supporting United Way of Wayne County at the same time!
