WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce has announced the keynote speakers for its 2026 Cruise With W.I.S.E., a women-focused cruise experience centered on leadership, empowerment, and meaningful connection.
Cruise With W.I.S.E. — which stands for Women Inspiring, Supporting, and Empowering — is designed to offer more than a traditional getaway. Organizers describe it as an immersive experience that blends professional development, personal growth, and rejuvenation in a setting created specifically for women from all walks of life.
This year’s keynote lineup features several prominent local leaders:
-
Shelby Benton, attorney with Benton Family Law
-
Selena Worrell, vice president of Worrell Contracting and co-founder of A & S Worrell Foundation
-
Dr. Patty Pfeiffer, president of Wayne Community College
-
Sherry Archibald, executive director of United Way of Wayne County
Additional local leaders will host breakout sessions during the sailing, with those names expected to be announced soon.
In addition to leadership programming, the cruise will also give back to the community. A portion of each cruise fare will directly benefit United Way of Wayne County, supporting programs that strengthen families and improve quality of life across the region.
Stacey Johnson, Director of Membership and Advocacy for the Chamber, said the initiative reflects a long-term investment in local women leaders.
“The 2026 W.I.S.E. Cruise represents a meaningful investment in the women of Wayne County and their continued growth and leadership,” Johnson said. “In partnership with Chamber Member Mallory Dumond of Travelmation and the United Way of Wayne County, this experience creates an encouraging opportunity for women of all business backgrounds to connect, reflect, and recharge while learning from local female leaders and legends who are generously sharing their insight and influence.”
Johnson added that organizers hope women throughout the community will take part in what is designed to be a transformative experience with lasting impact.
