February 9, 2026, 66, Pikeville – Lloyd Franklin Anderson, age 66, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at his home. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Lester Anderson and Elizabeth Mitchell Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Lennox River Anderson, along with his brother David Micah Anderson. He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family. A true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, also a man who loved to work with his hands whether it was cabinet making or repairing four wheelers.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Anderson Family Cemetery 2352 Arrington Bridge Road Dudley, NC. Mr. Andy Mitchell will be presiding. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery, other times they will be at the home of his son Justin Anderson 1123 Capps Bridge Road, Pikeville
Lloyd is survived by his son and best friend, Justin Anderson and significant other, Angela Bautista; grandchildren Everly Holcomb, Landon “Brandon’ Holcomb, Saylor Anderson and River Anderson; former wife and lifetime caregiver, Elaine Lozier, sisters Sandra A. Harrison and husband David, Dawn Anderson and significant other Marty. Also surviving is several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of extended family and friends. His faithful canine friend, Buddy, also survives.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
