September 3, 2026, 92, – William A. Sullivan, age 92, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late Alvader Sullivan and Doris Bird McCormick. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force, serving his country for four years. He retired from Wickes Lumber after 25 years of employment and was a member of the Wayne County Home Builders Association. Mr. Sullivan was also a charter member of the Goldsboro Exchange Club.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife, Shirley G. Sullivan; his daughters, Pam Silver & husband, George R. Silver and Donna Brisson; his grandson, Kevin Coghill and his great-grandson, Ethan Coghill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Free Will Baptist Church, 604 Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
No formal services will be held at this time.
