WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing Wayne County child, and law enforcement is asking the public for immediate assistance.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Ariell Denton, a 13-year-old White female who was reported missing on Thursday, Jan. 15. The alert was issued at 4:02 p.m.
Ariell is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with long brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing black-and-white checkered pants, a blue pullover, and tennis shoes.
Authorities urge anyone who may have information about Ariell’s whereabouts to contact the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (919) 580-4064, call 911, or contact local law enforcement.
Law enforcement officials stress that public awareness and quick reporting of any tips could be critical in helping to locate the missing teen safely.
