WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Two people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred Sunday morning in the Grantham community, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a residence on James Hinson Road on Dec. 14, 2025, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, identified as Dillon Daniels, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Daniels was transported to Wayne UNC Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. His current condition was not released.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. Authorities determined that Alexander Rodriguez and Tiffany O’Grady were involved in the incident, and warrants were subsequently issued for their arrests.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office took O’Grady into custody, while the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office assisted in apprehending Rodriguez. Both suspects were placed in the Wayne County Detention Center and are being held without bond.
According to investigators, Tiffany O’Grady has been charged with accessory after the fact, while Alexander Rodriguez is charged with attempted first-degree murder.
The investigation remains ongoing.
