MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Town of Mount Olive has announced a temporary lane closure on Breazeale Avenue next week as crews work to install a new sewer pipe.
According to town officials, the southbound lane of Breazeale Avenue at West James Street will be closed on Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
Flaggers will be stationed at the work site to direct traffic and maintain one open lane while construction is underway.
Town officials say both lanes will reopen after 6 p.m. Monday evening before work resumes Tuesday morning.
Motorists traveling through the area should use caution, watch for flaggers and construction crews, and allow additional travel time during the scheduled work hours.
The temporary closure is necessary to accommodate the installation of a new sewer pipe.
