October 21, 2026, 77, – Janet Coley Crocker, 77, lovingly known as “Cille” by her family, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Wayne County on December 24, 1948, Jan was the daughter of the late Leslie and Theodosia Coley. She will be remembered as a devoted Christian, a loving wife and mother, a proud grandmother, and a woman who always put others before herself.
Jan retired from Standard Products in Goldsboro, but her greatest joy came from serving the Lord and loving others. As a faithful member of Pikeville Church, she was involved in many ministries where she shared the love of God through kindness and service. She especially enjoyed serving alongside her sister in the Senior Citizen Outreach at The Indigo in Pikeville. She was also a member of the care group, Then Sings My Soul. Jan’s faith was an important part of her life, and she showed it through the way she cared for those around her.
Family was everything to Jan. She was their strongest supporter, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there when she was needed. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She also cherished her special bond with her sister, Jean, especially their sister days filled with shopping, laughter, and time together.
Jan had a loving heart and a genuine concern for others. Whether serving through her church, supporting her family, or sharing a kind word, she made a difference in the lives of those around her. She understood that living out her faith meant showing the love of Christ through everyday acts of kindness and compassion.
Though her sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved her, her family can find comfort in the faith she lived and the memories she leaves behind. They will forever cherish her love, her example of Christian service, and the many ways she made their lives better. They also hold close the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, trusting that one day they will be reunited with her in Heaven.
Jan’s life was a beautiful example of faith, family, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
Jan is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Jeff Crocker; her son, Bill Anderson and wife, Christy; her daughter, Marti Jones and husband, Stevie; and her cherished grandchildren, Charley (Daniel), Dallas, Tate, Dakota (Braxton), and Hinton (Emily). She is also survived by her sister, Jean Biggerstaff and husband, Ray; her niece, Heather Dest (Danielle); her nephew, Tim Biggerstaff, and Landon, who is lovingly being raised by Tim; and her dear canine companion, Roscoe.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. at The Pikeville Church, followed by a service celebrating Jan’s life at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary, with Pastor Mark Whitfield officiating. At other times the family is at Crocker residence, 1731 Nor Am Road, Pikeville.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made in Jan’s memory to The Pikeville Church, 336 Nahunta Road NW, Pikeville, NC 27863.
